Local public transportation is primarily made up of Johnson City Transit, a system of buses that operates between 6:15 am and 6:15 pm during the week and between 8:15 am and 5:15 pm on Saturdays, with a special weeknight evening route operating between 6:15 pm and 11:00 pm. For national or international air travel, Johnson City residents use the Tri-Cities Regional Airport and Johnson City Airport.
