Reno’s public school district, the Washoe County School District, and the nearby Sparks district combine to offer 15 high schools, 13 middle schools, and 64 elementary schools for local kids. Reno also offers several exceptional public charter schools as well as private schools for parents to choose from. The University of Nevada, Reno is Nevada’s oldest university with specialties in agriculture, mining engineering, journalism, and business. 

What to Do in Reno

The Eldorado is Reno’s most famous casino and one of the prime spots to gamble in the city, and as such is dripping with atmosphere and life. Sports fans can take in a game at the Aces Ballpark, a local favorite for baseball and even ice skating in the winter. Looking for culture? The Nevada Museum of Art, opened in 1931, is one of the oldest and most revered museums in the western United States with a wide variety of paintings, photography, sculptures, and more.
