The Coe Kohawks play in Division III sports in the American Rivers Conference, competing in football, basketball (men's & women's), baseball, softball, and soccer (men's and women's).

In Cedar, Rapids temperatures vary from 14ºF lows in the winter to 84ºF highs in the summer.  The summers are long, warm, humid, and wet, while the winters are freezing, dry, and windy. The hottest month of the year is July, and the coldest is January. This area receives about 36 inches of rain per year and 28 inches of snow. The most pleasant months in terms of weather are June, August, and September. This city is prone to several natural disasters such as tornadoes, flooding, severe storms, and thunderstorms.
